Appointments

 The Practice has a computerised appointment system. Based on consultations of 10 minutes as a standard but please tell us if you feel you will need more time. Appointments can be made by telephoning or calling in to the practice.

If you cannot attend a planned appointment please let us know so that your appointment may be used for another patient.

Please also let us know if you think you will be late.

If you have an urgent problem please inform the receptionist – brief details of the issue help us to prioritise your call,and our nurse can help you or your children with many minor ailments.

You can arrange an appointment with your doctor or nurse by phoning 01296 310940.

30% of our GP/Nurse appointments are set aside to be booked ‘on the day’ for medically urgent requests.

Telephone Consultations

Your doctor/nurse will be happy to give you advice on the telephone, outside of their consulting hours.

Home Visits

If you are too ill to come to the surgery, please phone 01296 310940 as early in the day as you can.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Test Results

To enquire about results of blood tests, urine tests, x-rays or other investigations please phone 01296 310940 after 11.00am.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
